Motorcyclist killed in Riverside crash on Thursday – Press Enterprise

A motorcyclist was killed in Riverside after colliding with a van on Thursday afternoon, February 24, police said.

The accident occurred around 2:12 p.m. when the driver of a Ford Transit Connect van was traveling west on University Avenue and intersected with the motorcyclist who was traveling east on University Avenue at the Orange Street intersection, the authorities said Riverside Police Department in a release press.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to Riverside Community Hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said.

The driver of the van was unharmed and remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, authorities said.

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.

The motorcyclist’s identity was withheld pending examination by the coroner, police said.
