4 arrested in drive-by shooting of injured teen in Pomona – Press Enterprise

POMONA – Three men and a youth were held in custody in Pomona Wednesday after their arrest on suspicion of attempted murder.

Pomona residents Danny Francisco Barquero and Juan Jesus Torres, both 22, Hennessey Rizkalla, 19, and a 16-year-old Riverside male youth were each arrested for attempted murder, Pomona Police Sgt. Ian Miller said.

Pomona officers responded to a call on the 1400 block of Laurel Avenue with gunfire at 6:08 p.m. Tuesday and found a 14-year-old youth suffering from a gunshot wound, Miller said.

In the course of their investigation, officers learned that the victim had been injured in a drive-by shooting when an SUV approached him.

Searching the area, police spotted a possible suspect vehicle, stopped the SUV at the 1100 block of S. Towne Avenue, and arrested the suspects.

The victim was taken to a hospital where she was treated and discharged, Miller said.

The suspects were sent to the Pomona City Jail.
